Fun With FRY!!!!

Fun With Fry!!!

I have created a bundle that includes word wall cards for all 300 fry words!!
The word wall cards are a great size for you to hang up  in your classroom so your children can read them from their seats!

They are separtated by each 100.
First 100 (First Grade)
Second 100 (Second Grade)
Third 100 (Third Grade)

Here is a picture of my word wall in progress from the beginning of the year.  I only put the words up as we learn them.

Also included in this pack are fry fluency sentences.  I have found in my classroom, that a lot of my children know all of their fry words in isolation.  But when it comes to reading some of the words in context, they have trouble.  That is why I have created these cards.  There are 18 sentences for every 25 words all the way up to 300.  For example, 18 sentences for words 1-25, 18 sentences for words 26-50 and so forth.  They are also labeled on the bottom so you know where in the list the sentences come from.  In my classroom I printed them on card stock, laminated them, and put them on a ring for children use during read to self, read to someone, or with me during teacher time.

Math Mega Pack!

Happy Easter Everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying this lovely holiday along with the lovely weather! It seems as though spring might just finally be here!

I was very busy at work on my Friday afternoon off.  I was finally able to complete my First Grade Math Mega Pack! I am very excited about this completion.  The pack includes at least one activity for every common core standard in first grade math.  It contains 170 slides and my hope is that it is a total time saver for my first grade teacher friends out there.  Throughout the year, as my teaching partner and I unraveled through the new common core curriculum we searched and searched for activities for the children to complete as independent work, assessments, or activities to practice during math workstations.  Then I thought, why search when I can just create them myself.

This math pack has been a long time in the making complies everything that I have made and used this year.  Check it out at my TpT store here:

Thank you so much and once again, have a great holiday!

Graphing!

I have been busy putting together a math bundle that is aligned to the first grade common core!  My newest addition to this bundle (that is not yet complete) is the graphing section.  This is the strand 1.MD.4.  Check it out at my TpT Store HERE!

Keep a look out for the complete math bundle which I hope to be done with very shortly!  It is already over 100 slides long and still growing. My intention is that it will have everything you need to help you through the math year with the common core!

As always thanks for stopping by my blog and make sure to stop by my store!

Time, Time, Time!

Time is one of the most important things that we use in everyday life!  It is the basis for everything that we do every single day.  What time you wake up? What time do you have to be at school? Work? When is it time to go home? Am I going to be late picking up my child from day care? At time during your life are you ready for major milestones? A new home? A new car? It is the right time to have children? So much revolves around TIME!! Which is why it is so important for our little first grade friends to understand the concept of time to the hour and half hour!  Check out my Time resources on my TeachersPayTeachers site here:
Now excuse me... I have to go, it's time for me to get a move on today!

Bizzard 2013!

I survived the bizzard!! School was cancelled on Friday and again today.... looks like we will be in school until June 30th the way we are going!
On the bright side of things, being snowed in has given me time to create some new products for my TpT store! Look out soon for activities on how to tell time in first grade! Also I am working on 100 day activities since it is looking like we wont be hitting the 100th day until after we come back from February vacation.

Hope everyone stayed safe and warm.

Happy Veterans Day!

Hello everybody! Happy Veterans Day! I hope that everybody had a wonderful day off.  Tomorrow it is back to work.  I am posting today to share with everybody one of my products that I am selling in my TpT store.  It is a voice level chart that I use in my classroom.  The children love it and love to refer to it throughout the day.

Here is a picture of my voice level chart I have posted in my room.  Click Here to purchase your own!

Of course I had to make it polka dot theme since that is the theme I went with in my room this year.  All you have to do is move the clothespin to the selected level that you want your kids to use!

Have a wonderful night!

Here it goes!!

Well hello there everybody! My name is Alicia and I am a First Grade Teacher! I taught Kindergarten last year and it was a lot of fun but I must say, that I absolutely loveee First!

I am starting up my very own blog! I am new to all this and am not quite sure how it all works.  I enjoy looking at everyone else's blog and decided that it was time to start my own.  Especially since I am also a seller on TeachersPayTeachers.  You can visit my store by clicking my link Miss Alicia T.

I have much to share about my classroom and things that I have made and done.  I plan to share all of that with you!

Here are some before pictures of my classroom.

For some reason the left all sorts of boxes in my room that didn't belong there.

And shelves that weren't mine either.

Last year I was able to pick out allllllll new furniture!  I chose new tables, chairs, bookshelves, even a new rug.  I loveeeeeee my room this year!  It is so bright, happy, and inviting for the children.  Here are some after pictures:

Love the round tables where each child gets their own "nook space".

I use this for each child gets their own book cubby.

Our calendar area.

My small group area.

Area by my desk with items children have made me.

I have made a lot of changes since I have taken these photos in the beginning of the year.  I will share updated photos at a later time.

I am very excited to be bringing you into my world!
Enjoy your weekend!
